Launch your boat for a day on the water to hunt for that “catch of the day!”
Pack your bathers and walk down to the beach for a refreshing swim, build a sandcastle and on those calm days a great spot for a paddle board.
The apartments are a 5 minute drive to visit the Dhilba Guuranda Innes National Park where you can spend the whole day exploring the rustic coastlines, go back in time and explore the old township of Stenhouse, go for a swim at one of the many stunning beaches or when surfs up – grab that board and hit the waves!

What to See and Do

Town Facilities

Visit the Marion Bay Tavern for a nice cold drink after a day of sightseeing. Sit outside and take in the sea views of the bay. Hungry? Why not try their famous wood oven pizzas or order from their menu of many delicious options.

The Marion Bay General Store has a full take away menu available after those long days of touring or lounging on the beach. The store also stocks cold drinks, chips, lollies, grocery items, fruit, veg and meat. Need some fishing gear? You can purchase all you need to snag yourself a fish. You can also refuel the car with the self service

Along Slow Street there are 2 tennis courts and basketball rings. Or wander over to the playground. There are also 2 community BBQ’s and public toilets in this vicinity.

Fishing

Marion Bay and the surrounding area is a perfect place to go fishing. Launch your boat from the boat ramp in town, throw a line in along the jetty or just pick one of the many beaches to cast and relax.

Try your luck with beach fishing at Hillocks Drive or Browns Beach!

There are also numerous fishing charters in the area to go out for a great day of fishing and fun and hope for the catch of the day!

Wildlife

We are so lucky with the vast amount of wildlife in the area. You will see kangaroos and emus frequently in the area. Scan the beaches for a pod of dolphins or if you are lucky may spot a whale or two while visiting Dhila Guuranda – Innes National Park.

The abundance of birdlife in the area if amazing. If you are an avid birdwatcher this is the place to bring the binoculars and go exploring.

Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park

Only a 5 minute drive to the Main Entrance pack the bathers, surfboard, walking shoes and picnic and head into one of the most majestic parks in Australia.

First pop in and see the lovely staff at the Visitor Information Centre as you enter the park. You will find plenty of information on the area and what to see and do within the park.

Then take the journey with spectacular coastline and amazing views – great photography opportunities everywhere you turn.

Explore the abundance of history through out the park. Take the walk down to the shipwreck of Ethel, stroll through the old Inneston township and see the old mining equipment that was once used for mining gypsum in the early 1900’s. Take a leisurely stroll to the many lighthouses, or park up on the beach at Pondalowie Bay for a bite to eat and cool down with a swim. Put on the walking shoes and try out the many walking trails that the park has to offer.

Please note there is an entry fee to the park which you can book online or visit the Visitors Centre during office hours.

No Pets allowed in the park

Swim and Surf

There are numerous sheltered and surf beaches to choose from in the area. Water sports is very popular around the area varying from swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, diving and snorkelling.

Penguin Point or Willyama in Marion Bay are walking distance from the villas with Penguin Point perfect for the family!

Take a drive along the Corny Point Road and check out the spectacular surf beaches along the coast line.

If you going to explore the Dhilba – Guuranda Innes National Park the stunning crystal clear beaches are a must see.

Many beaches to choose from to suit all swimming levels.

There are so many beaches to choose from, and it’s important to be aware of the possibility of unstable cliffs, strong currents, slippery rocks, submerged objects and of course changing conditions. Do not climb on, or fish from slippery rocks.

Our beaches don’t have surf life saving patrols, so please be careful.
